1. Scope and accountability
This Privacy Policy applies to the LeaseVektor website, Personal Desk, Company Workspaces and related services (collectively, the “Service”). LeaseVektor is responsible for personal information under its control and designates its Privacy Officer to answer questions and handle access, correction and privacy complaints.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We may collect your first and last name, business email, company, professional role, username, profile image, account preferences and authentication information. Passwords are processed through secure authentication systems and are not displayed to LeaseVektor administrators.
Content you add
We store information you choose to add, such as Trays, saved links, descriptions, notes, Goals & Targets, Sticky Notes, Updates, Quick Files and Company Workspace content. We do not ask you to upload highly sensitive personal, financial, credit, health or government-identification information.
Usage and technical information
We may collect login and activity timestamps, recently opened resources, feature interactions, browser and device information, IP address, security logs, cookie identifiers and diagnostic information needed to operate, protect and improve the Service.
Account requests and communications
When you request an account or contact us, we collect the information in your request and any correspondence needed to review eligibility, respond and provide support.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- review account requests and provide, personalize and administer the Service;
- authenticate users, maintain sessions and protect accounts;
- display Personal Desk and Company Workspace content to the appropriate users;
- provide support, respond to requests and communicate important service or security information;
- monitor performance, troubleshoot errors, prevent misuse and improve Beta features;
- maintain records, enforce our Terms and meet legal obligations; and
- create aggregated or de-identified insights that do not reasonably identify an individual.
We will not sell personal information. We will seek additional consent before using personal information for a materially different purpose, unless otherwise permitted or required by law.
4. When information may be disclosed
We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary:
- to hosting, email, security, backup, analytics and other service providers that process information for us;
- to your Company Workspace owner, administrators or members as described below;
- to investigate misuse, protect rights and safety, or comply with law, court orders and valid government requests;
- in connection with a proposed financing, reorganization, sale or transfer of all or part of the Service, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections; or
- with your direction or consent.
Service providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions. Information may therefore be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of those jurisdictions.
5. Personal Desk and Company Workspace visibility
Your private Trays, Sticky Notes, private Updates, Goals & Targets and other personal content are intended to be visible only to you. Content placed in a Company Workspace—including Company Trays and Company Updates—is visible to authorized Workspace members. Workspace owners and administrators manage membership and may remove access.
Do not place passwords, banking information, customer credit files, social insurance numbers or other highly sensitive information in links, notes, Updates or Quick Files. A link shared through LeaseVektor may lead to an independent third-party service governed by its own privacy practices.
6. Retention, account closure and deletion
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described above, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal requirements. Retention periods vary by record type.
You may request account deletion through Settings or by contacting us. We will delete or de-identify information when appropriate, subject to legal, security, backup and legitimate recordkeeping requirements. Content previously shared into a Company Workspace may remain under that Workspace’s control. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
7. Safeguards and security incidents
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, such as access controls, authentication, hosting protections, software updates and limited administrative access. No online service can guarantee absolute security, particularly during a Beta.
If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will take steps required by applicable law, which may include notifying affected individuals and the appropriate privacy regulator.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information under our control, ask that inaccurate information be corrected, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern. Withdrawal may limit our ability to provide the Service. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You can update common profile information through LeaseVektor and can manage browser cookies using your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent login or other features from working.
9. Children
The Service is designed for equipment leasing and finance professionals and is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Beta develops, our practices change or legal requirements evolve. The effective date and version at the top identify the current policy. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service.
